Longridge Junction

Longridge Junction was my first layout in 3mm. It was a 14.2mm gauge fine scale layout, 16ft long x 8ft wide. I have added these photographs of some of the buildings that were taken just before the layout was broken up.

This is the rear of the station building looking south.

The railway side of the station building. A goods train heads south while a scratch built N.E.R. BTP with an auto coach at each und waits to leave on the branch.

The gatekeepers cottages are modelled on those at Clifton crossing, about 4 miles south of Morpeth. All the buildings were constructed from the Wills range of modelling materials.

A view of the goods yard end of the station building showing weigh cabin, goods cabin and station masters accomodation.
